Same Song by Sadie Nix: Review
Sadie Nix settles the score with her past toxic lover in an explosive new single, Same Song. This also gives a glimpse of her upcoming album “Friends Get You Killed”.
Having written music from early childhood, Sadie Nix did not release anything up until lockdown at the age of 38. Despite this song being only her second release, she does not sound like a newcomer at all. All these years of practice behind closed doors have really shaped her sound and that really reflects in this new single. The songwriting shows the experiences she’s been through all the while making your head bop with a catchy tune.
The song is about letting go of someone who’s been taking you for granted and treating you poorly repeatedly and apologizing again and again without really changing their ways. This would resonate with anyone who’s been through the same experience and let’s face it, it’s all of us. A universally relatable subject combined with skillful songwriting and a catchy tune– it’s a recipe for a banger. The composition of the song is very explosive in nature with its deep bass and vivid melodies led by her confident dynamic vocals that feel right at home with the sound. This girl from Brighton sure packs a punch!
