Released freshly this Oct 13, Winter Tale by Claudia Balla is a mesmerizing and richly orchestrated album that skillfully captures the spirit of the winter season. Winter Tale successfully and effortlessly signifies the love and harmony depicted in Christmas and Winter without even referring to the season or the occasion. With orchestra and atmosphere, she has designed a marvelous and whimsical motif or music box of seasonal joy through this album.
The first track, βTΓ©li Γ©jszaka,β is less than 30 seconds long and sets a mysterious tone with a brief monologue by a deep-timbre male voice. Following this, a minute-long track, βGyΓΆnyΓΆrΕ±szΓ©p β Si vous saviezβ introduces a choir arrangement conducted by ZoltΓ‘n Pad with a Soprano crooning.
Subsequently, βLikely/Si vous saviezβ features an icy string buildup and delicate singing by Claudia Balla. The multilingual lyrics and the orchestral arrangement enhance the global appeal while ethereally elevating the song.
The five interlude tracks showcase acapella soprano performances. The third one features a soprano solo, while the last interlude features a love confessional sung in English through the ethereal orchestral rendition. The interludes contribute to the overall atmospheric and thematic coherence of Winter Tale.
βIf I Wereβ reverses traditional gender roles in relationships with a heartfelt performance by Claudia Balla and a bridge sung by renowned opera singer Erika MiklΓ³sa. Another standout track, βDrive,β refers to escaping challenges with minimalistic yet suspenseful music complementing Claudia Ballaβs expressive vocals.
Recorded over Budapest and Hungary, Balla collabbed with Sonia Grimm, Erika MiklΓ³sa, Alexander Boldachev, and Yvan Franel to facilitate the immense richness of Winter Tale.
