Self-taught artist Anjalts continues her creative evolution with her new single “Love U this Late,” the sixth song lifted from her forthcoming third album. Written, produced, and performed entirely by Anjalts, the track explores emotional disconnection with transparency and vulnerability maxed out to the top. The song opens with an electrifying beat, cool yet sharp set against soft, hypnotic guitar strums. Anjalts blends pop, soul, and acoustic minimalism and creates a serene, layered atmosphere that draws you in from the very first line:
“Take a walk with me / Take a walk when you’re looking down.”
Her mezzo-soprano voice, vulnerable, moody, and haunting, echoes like light falling through an expansive, empty space. Singing with aching softness, Anjalts brings the melancholic, nocturnal mood of late-night awakenings and emotional realizations that arrive too late to be acted upon.
Before the pre-chorus lifts into a gentle, pulsing rhythm, the song pauses—urging quiet reflection on overlooked truths and hidden vulnerabilities. This transition from a mellow, introspective opening into a more rhythmic, heartbeat-like flow creates an emotional release, as if the song itself is peeling back layers of guarded emotion.
Following her previous singles “Evanescent Mind” and “Just Stay 4 Awhile,” “Love U this Late” stands firmly on its own merit. With clean, radio-ready lyrics and a melody that lingers long after the final note, it recalls the conversations and realizations we unconsciously leave unspoken.
