If something such as music therapy could exist, you could definitely count on Thexele’s new album, “Music from the Soul,” to spiritually heal you as well as refresh your mental state. The 10-track album is rife with cherubic melodies and instrumental compositions accompanied by Thexele’s siren-like vocal input.
The tracks have a chronological sense, with the first track being “Sunrise,” then floating onto the fourth track, we have dusk exuding on “Evening Ocean” and “Lunar Tenderness.” The darkness is “Fading” in the ninth, and once again, the glimmering rays piercing through the clouds “Revive the Planet,” the last track being essential in signifying the cycle of nature.
With electronic and new age genres easily catchable with the piano tunes and calming synth waves, we find an adult-contemporary mood swaying in Thexele’s music. But all in all, it’s pure and intentional. She sparks a dreamy light with the natural imagery, first with the track names, then with the sounds.
What makes this album more special is that these have been composed over a long period of time, with “Lunar Tenderness” being manufactured from a 14-year-old Thexele’s mind. But Thexele didn’t intend on simply publishing her old music. She improvised every sound to ensure it sounded perfect in her ears. Not gonna lie. It sounds even better in mine!
Be it your next unfinished assignment, the approaching deadline for a project, or anything you are anxious about, don’t forget to plug in “Music from the Soul” to soothe your soul!
